Terms & Conditions

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total value is required when making the reservation, with the remainder due 8 weeks prior to departure.

This should be paid in UK cheque, bank transfer or Euros (by prior agreement).

Paying the balance for your holiday

The outstanding balance will be required no later than 8 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday, again by UK cheque, bank transfer or Euros (by prior agreement).

This should be accompanied by a separate security cheque (see below).

NOTE: In the event that final payment is not made, your booking will be cancelled and the house re-let - your deposit will not be refunded.

Security cheque

The security cheque of £200, will be held against any breakages or damage that may occur during your stay.

This cheque will be returned to you within 14 days from the end of your holiday (less any necessary deductions for breakages).

This is payable when you make your final holiday payment (8 weeks before) and should be made by separate cheque.

Cancellations

Should you wish to cancel your booking with us after your deposit has been received and banked, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will make every effort to re-let the house for the period of your booking, however if this is unsuccessful, any monies paid will not be refunded.

We suggest that you take out travel insurance against the possibility of having to cancel your holiday.

Arrivals

Guests must not arrive any earlier than 5pm (usually on a Saturday) as the property takes about 5 hours to clean through and may not be ready for your arrival.  If transport arrangements are such that your time of arrival is earlier than this, please let us know well in advance, as it may be possible to allow entry prior to this time or at least allow for a bag drop off.

Departures

Guests must depart no later than 10am on their day of departure to enable the cleaning staff to prepare the house for the next guests.

Breakages/damage

On or shortly after arrival, our housekeeper will come to the house to show your round, show you how things work and answer any questions you may have.  You will be asked to sign a form to say you have seen the cooker, fridge, microwave etc. in working order and when you leave, the housekeeper will sign it to say that she has 'received it back' in working order.

Any breaks or damage should be notified either on the day of departure or preferably before that so that repairs/replacements can be organised.  Any significant damage/breakages will be taken out of the security deposit.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome at our home, but must clean up after their owners.  We ask that owners respect our furniture and don't allow their dogs on sofas or beds and ensure that they are not allowed to bark or whine to the annoyance of our very kind and helpful neighbours.
